What would you say to yourself, 5 years ago?
What would you say, without saying too much?

Five Thousand, two hundred and fourteen dollars and ten cents
..is the amount of money I have raised for Ovarian Cancer Research over three years of fundraising through Frocktober.
On behalf of my Grandmother and I, thankyou for the love you have shown by donating; whether it was dresses, money or encouraging words…
Thankyou.
Not every day you find someone who really gets your heart started.
I had the pleasure of discovering yet another excellent Perth creative, Keely of KCfit. She is a #girlboss guaranteed to get your heart started!
Having discovered the warm and friendly climate outside of my comfort zone, I decided to challenge myself – attending my first fitness Bootcamp.
After nearly a week (October 6th) I’d had a grand total of $00.00 donated to my Frocktober fund.

It bothers me less than it did last year. I thought I had failed last year, when I didn’t reach the same target as the previous year (~$2, 600).
It bothers me less because Frocktober has taught me valuable lessons about standards, fundraising, social media and innovation.
Allow me to explain…
My relationship with dresses has been an interesting one in my 23 years on earth so far….
Dresses weren’t my first choice of clothing when I was growing up. Playing dress ups as a young girl resulted in a love of dressing up (wearing lip gloss to the dinner table regularly, according to Mum!). Dresses and skirts felt like ‘Uniform’, a sentiment from my school days – I preferred pants, thanks to the late 1990s and early 2000s trackpants, low cut and wide leg jeans trends.
I have come to love dresses, in all their diverse, trendy complexity. But it be a challenge to not be able to fall back on my well-worn default of jeans with converse or heels.
Frocktober 2015 is a go!
I had a thought over my avocado and tomato omelette last Saturday morning.
Would I have bothered to cook this for myself if it wasn’t for social media?
While the actual truth is I didn’t have milk or bread – I cannot honestly say if I would have learned to cook an omelette/eggs if it wasn’t for social media.
Which leads me to my next question, has social media influenced our cooking and eating habits?
Yes.
Has social media influenced MY cooking and eating habits?
Yes and I am happy for it.
Some really exciting things have been happening for Tangible since your fair Author crashed landed back in W.A. …
A 14 hour stopover at Singapore’s Changi Airport has allowed me some thinking time about my venture to London and some realistic travel tips from your Airport junkie author:
Your baggage shouldn’t be emotional…
What I have learned after 6 months of work?
(I still feel like the little girl in the above picture, for one!)
